PUBLIC NOTICE 

NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF THE PRELIMINARY FY 24/25 BUDGET

NOTICE IS now GIVEN that the Board of Commissioners of the Quincy Fire Protection District will adopt a preliminary budget for the 2024/2025 fiscal year, estimating and determining the amount of money required for the purpose of the District each year. Pursuant to the Fire Protection District Law of 1987 (H&S Code 13890-13895).

Said preliminary budget is available for inspection by interested taxpayers of the District at the Quincy Fire Protection business office located at 505 Lawrence Street, Quincy, CA 95971. During the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, each week.

 The preliminary budget notice is open for public input and discussion on May 23, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. at 287 Lawrence Street: Quincy, California in the Feather River Bulletin conference room.

Notice is further given that on October 1 of each year, after making any changes in the preliminary budget, the Quincy Fire Protection Board of Directors shall adopt a final budget held on September 14, 2024, located at 287 Lawrence St. Quincy, California 95971, at the Feather River Bulletin conference room, said board will meet in public for the purpose of adopting the final budget. Any taxpayer may appear at the said meeting to be heard regarding the increase, decrease, or omission of any items on the budget or the inclusion of any items.
