What is the Quincy Volunteer Fire Department Inc.?
The QVFD firefighters began in 1878 to help raise funds for the Quincy Volunteer Department, keeping us supplied with critical items such as hydration supplies, communication equipment, safety, and personal protective equipment, etc.. The membership holds a 501(c)3 non-profit status and we strongly encourage anyone interested in joining to reach out! We host various fundraisers throughout the year, including a Pancake Breakfast, Battle of the Battalions Golf Tournament, Equipment Raffle, and “Fill the Boot” events.
