RESOLUTION 2025-0612-2 - CONFLICT OF INTEREST - REVIEW
A RESOLUTION OF THE QUINCY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT ADOPTING THE CONFLICT-OF-INTEREST CODE
WHEREAS, the Political Reform Act, codified at Government Code section 81000 et seq., requires state and local government agencies to adopt and promulgate conflict-of-interest codes; and,
WHEREAS, the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) has adopted regulation 2 California Code of Regulations section 18730, which contains the terms of a standard Conflict-of-Interest Code and may be incorporated by reference, and which is amended by the FPPC to conform to amendments in the Political Reform Act following public notice and hearing; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Quincy Fire Protection District wishes to adopt a Conflict-of-Interest Code consistent with state law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Quincy Fire Protection District as follows:
1. The terms of 2 California Code of Regulations section 18730, and any amendments to it duly adopted by the Fair Political Practices Commission, along with the attached Appendix in which designated positions and disclosure categories are set forth, are hereby incorporated by reference and constitute the Conflict-of-Interest Code of the Quincy Fire Protection District.
2. Persons holding designated positions shall file Statements of Economic Interests (Form 700) pursuant to 2 California Code of Regulations section 18730(b)(4).
3. Officials who manage public investments, including members of the Board of Directors and District managers, shall file Statements of Economic Interests (Form 700) pursuant to Government Code section 87200.
4. Designated employees shall file their statements with the District, which shall make the statements available for public inspection and reproduction in accordance with Government Code section 81008. The District shall retain a copy and forward the original statements to the Plumas County Clerk’s Office.
5. Failure to file the required statement in a timely fashion may result in the imposition of monetary penalties pursuant to Government Code section 91013(a).
The foregoing resolution was duly passed and adopted by the Board of Directors of the Quincy Fire Protection District at a regular meeting held on June 12, 2025, by the following vote:
