A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE QUINCY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT ESTABLISHING THE APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025–2026 PURSUANT TO ARTICLE XIII B OF THE CALIFORNIA CONSTITUTION AND GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 7910

WHEREAS, Article XIII B of the California Constitution (commonly known as the “Gann Limit”) and Government Code Sections 7900–7914 require each local agency to establish its annual appropriations limit by resolution; and

WHEREAS, Government Code Section 7910 provides that the governing body of each local jurisdiction shall annually adopt, by resolution, its appropriations limit for the following fiscal year; and

WHEREAS, the appropriations limit for the Quincy Fire Protection District for fiscal year 2024–2025 was established at $700,372; and

WHEREAS, the District has calculated its appropriations limit for fiscal year 2025–2026 using the following adjustment factors authorized by Government Code Section 7901:

• Per Capita Personal Income Growth: 6.44% (Factor: 1.0644)
• Population Growth (01/01/2024–01/01/2025): 0.44% (Factor: 1.0044)
• Combined Growth Factor: 1.069

WHEREAS, the resulting appropriations limit for fiscal year 2025–2026 is calculated as:
$700,372 × 1.069 = $748,698; and

WHEREAS, the documentation used to determine the appropriations limit has been available for public inspection at least 7 days prior to this meeting, in accordance with Government Code Section 7910;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Quincy Fire Protection District as follows:

1.       SECTION 1:
In accordance with Article XIII B of the California Constitution and Government Code Section 7910, the Board of Directors hereby establishes the appropriations limit for the Quincy Fire Protection District for Fiscal Year 2025–2026 at $748,698.

2.       SECTION 2:
This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
